Intergas Compact Combi boiler frozen/cold condensate pipes

Hi Folks,

I have bought an Intergas compact combi boiler two years ago. The boiler is facing a problem of frozen/cold condensate pipes. Because of all this, my boiler is not working, as it has to be. What should I do to make the boiler work again? Has someone faced this issue earlier, if yes then please guide me immediately.

Regards

Ray

Hi Ray

These condensate pipes are used for transporting the water to a drain outside. It is important to note that location of the condensate pipes matters a lot like, if you have placed your boiler in an open place then condensate pipes are at the risk of freezing out during the winter season. Therefore, you should check your boiler on daily basis especially in the winters. For thawing out the iced up water, it is advised to pour hot water on these pipes or else call a skilled boiler engineer for additional help and guidance.
