Intergas Compact boiler problem of lukewarm water

Hi,

I have a three years old Intergas compact combi boiler. From last few days, the boiler is giving the lukewarm water as I turn on the tap. I am unable to do my household chores or even cannot take shower. I need your help on an urgent basis.

Thanks for your suggestions

Jeremy

Hello Jeremy, you are facing this issue due to an out of order diverter valve. Your Intergas compact combi boiler is intended to provide the needed hot water, however whenever the diverter valve is a little seized, open mostly on a central heating side then, it is important to note that a very small amount of a heating power is rightly on the track which is frequently transported to your taps and showers. You can call a boiler engineer to avoid unforeseen problems.

Intergas HRE 10 OV boiler drips water whenever heating is turned off

Hello Everybody,

Can someone please identify a problem, which my seven years old Intergas HRE 10 OV boiler is facing now days? Few days back, after switching off the boiler is heating I have noticed that it is leaking water continuously underneath. In order to get the hot water, I always top up its pressure. Moreover, the drip would hardly stop for some time & after that, the same problem arises again.  What should I do? Should I replace it?

Looking Forward

Thanks

Ed

Hi Ed,

I guess the joints have become a bit lose especially from the heating and conserving cycle. It is advised to place a drip pan directly under the leaking range (all the drips would disappear quickly), then every time you turn it off to check all the connections and joints with wrenches in order to find an unfastened connection or joint.  You can also get your boiler checked by a specialized boiler engineer.

Intergas Compact Combi boiler’s circulation problem

Hi Folks,

My one-year-old Intergas compact combi boiler is giving a tough time from last few days. I am not getting the needed water whenever I turn on the tap. Moreover, there is no heating as well. I have tried to fix after reading the user manual but no progress. Please help me to fix this issue

Regards

Ann

Hi Ann, from the provided information it is clear that your boiler is facing a problem related to circulation. Usually, the common reason behind this issue is a faulty central heating pump & this pump cannot work properly whenever it encounters two major problems such as a seized tube of the pump and badly fitted central heating pump. In order to get the expert advice, do contact a boiler engineer.

Intergas Compact Combi 36/30 boiler error code 29/30

I have installed an Intergas compact combi 36/30 boiler two years ago. It worked well, but now it is displaying a 29/30 error code from last six days. I have restarted the boiler many times but no visible difference. Furthermore, gas supply is not present at the burner. What should I do? Please share your valuable suggestions

Thanks a lot

Nick

Hi Nick,

According to the Intergas, compact combi 36/30 boiler use guide a 29/30 fault code means “gas valve relay faulty”. The purpose of the gas valve is to control the flow of gas, which is being needed by the pilot light and burner. Sometimes, it becomes faulty and consequently it fails to work properly. However, the following are some other possible reasons behind this problem:

  1. Jammed valve
  2. Damaged PCB
  3. Defective connections
  4. Out of order unit

It is better to get help from a qualified boiler engineer for correcting or either replacing a damaged gas valve.

Intergas Combi HRE 24/18 boiler out of order expansion tank

Hello Guys,

I need help on an urgent basis regarding the expansion chamber of my four years old Intergas combi HRE 24/18 boiler, which is overflowing continuously since last night.  I have not faced this type of issue before that is why I am quite worried. What could a possible reason behind as apparently everything looks fine.

Thanks for your sincere suggestions

Robert

Hi, you could be facing this problem due to an out of order ballcock especially, if the expansion chamber of your Intergas boiler is dripping water continuously towards outside. Nevertheless, primarily check the current state of water like either it is hot or cold. If the water is very hot then, be very cautious because it is something very risky. Well, you can rectify the problem by replacing the ballcock gasket however, if you feel that cylinder is damaged then, I would advise calling an Intergas boiler engineer straightaway.

Intergas Compact Combi boiler frozen/cold condensate pipes

Hi Folks,

I have bought an Intergas compact combi boiler two years ago. The boiler is facing a problem of frozen/cold condensate pipes. Because of all this, my boiler is not working, as it has to be. What should I do to make the boiler work again? Has someone faced this issue earlier, if yes then please guide me immediately.

Regards

Ray

Hi Ray

These condensate pipes are used for transporting the water to a drain outside. It is important to note that location of the condensate pipes matters a lot like, if you have placed your boiler in an open place then condensate pipes are at the risk of freezing out during the winter season. Therefore, you should check your boiler on daily basis especially in the winters. For thawing out the iced up water, it is advised to pour hot water on these pipes or else call a skilled boiler engineer for additional help and guidance.

Intergas Compact 36/30 boiler sludge buildup

Hello Everybody,

I have an Intergas compact 36/30 boiler, which is almost six years old. Unluckily, I do not have the user guide & currently I need it on an urgent basis because the boiler is having some problems. Because of this, I am here to seek expert advice. Furthermore, the central heating pump is overheating a lot. I have checked the water flow as well and it is very hot but I get the extremely cold water as I turn on the water tap. What is wrong with the boiler? Can someone please help?

Thanks a lot

William

Hi William,

The boiler’s central heating system is chocked because of sludge buildup means muddy water. Do not worry as it is an extremely common issue especially in the very old boilers & you are facing this issue because your boiler is quite old.  Whenever the sticky or muddy liquid went through a central heating system, it deposits all these dirt/dust particles into it. In order to fix the problem, you have to buy and install the different magnetic sludge filters along with the scale reducers in your boiler.

Intergas HRE 18 OV boiler’s out of order thermostatic blender valve

Hi Guys,

I own an Intergas HRE 18 OV boiler, which is nearly four years old. I was a satisfied and happy customer of an Intergas boiler as I have not faced any major issue but now I need help from you guys on an issue, which my boiler is having from the last few days. I am not getting the hot water and it is quite cold outside. What is the matter? Should I replace the boiler?

Thanks in advance

Smith

Hi Smith,

You are facing this issue due to the faulty/damaged thermostatic blender valve. The best and recommended way is to replace the old one & install the new thermostatic blender valve. However, you have to check a water scale before installing it. Few Intergas boilers have the water exchangers already installed in them therefore, an in-depth chemical process is important & for all this, services of a capable boiler engineer are mandatory.

Intergas Compact Combi boiler leaking water from the bottom

Hello Everyone,

I have installed an Intergas compact boiler three years ago. It worked well but now it is leaking water from the bottom continuously. I have confronted this issue earlier as well. What could be a possible reason behind it? I am noticing the minor leaks after every 2-3 minutes. Due to all this, the boiler is not working in a way, as it should be. What should I do?

Thanks for helping me out

Jessica

Hi, you will always face this issue whenever the few important internal parts of the boiler become faulty such as:

  • pipes become rusty
  • out of order connections
  • deterioration of the heat exchanger
  • heating pump is outflowing
  • Automatic opening of the air

Your boiler is dripping the water due to the above-mentioned reasons. At times, some repairs are extremely easy and simple but it is better to seek help from the boiler engineer for detailed investigation.

Intergas Combi HRE 24/18 boiler error code 8

i Folks,

My newly bought and installed Intergas combi HRE 24/18 boiler is not working properly from last few days and showing an error code i.e. 8. I have read the user guide and concluded that the boiler’s fan is having some issue. I am unable to understand the exact reason behind it that is why I am here to get some expert advice. Someone please help me to sort out this annoying problem.

Regards

Tom

Hello Tom, yes you are right because according to the Intergas user guide manual the error code 8 means “incorrect fan speed”. It is important to note that when the fan does not work properly or have incorrect speed, it becomes extremely unsafe. Thus, try to fix this issue immediately without wasting any time. You can call an expert boiler engineer. Ask the boiler engineer to assess an existing loss. In case of severe loss, replace a fan and some other faulty parts of the boiler, as it will help you to prevent the additional loss.
